Dr. Girish Kumar Tiwari

An educationist and linguist Dr. Girish Kumar Tiwari got his existence in this world on 1st May 1980 in a very historical city Sasaram at Bihar. He completed his schooling and Undergraduate program from Sasaram. He finished his Master’s degree in Economics and B.Ed. from the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi in 2004, and 2006 respectively. He went to Banaras Hindu University in 2008 and finished his M.Ed. in 2009. He also completed his Ph.D. in Education on the “Relationship between Logical Thinking and Dysrationalia of secondary students and their effect on the Concept Attainment in Mathematics” in 2016 from the same institution. He also completed post graduation in Hindi in 2007 from Nalanda Open University. Besides, he did several Diploma programs like Diploma in French Language, Diploma in Japanese Language, Diploma in Bhojpuri Language and Diploma in Translation from various institutions. At present, he is pursuing post graduation in Psychology from IGNOU. He worked on the post of Senior Project Fellow in the Inter-University Center of Teacher Education, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from June 2018 to June 2020. He also worked on the post of project fellow in a major project entitled “Environmental Professional Ethics and Teacher Education Programme in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh from Nov. 2009 to Nov. 2011. The project was sponsored by UGC. He, with the capacity of co-project director, has completed a special research program sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research entitled “A study of contemporary educational content in Jammu and Kashmir”. While pursuing his Ph.D. he was engaged in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students of education in Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Banaras Hindu University. He also worked as a teaching assistant in IIT BHU from Jan. 2018 to May 2018. He is a great researcher and his contributions in the field of teaching-learning and research are incredible. Six Research Papers published in prestigious research journals are in his credit. 2 Seminar Proceedings of reputed national level seminars are also in his account. 18 Chapters in edited book, out of which 17 are the part of the self-learning material prepared for the teacher education program run by the Uttarakhand Open University, Vardhaman Mahavir Open University, Kota, and SCERT, Bihar, are also published. Besides these publications, he also has 8 text books in his account as co-author. He is member of editorial boards of three reputed research journals. He has participated in 16 seminars and 7 workshops. He has also acted as a resource person in 3 workshops and 2 seminars. He has 10 audio and 10 video lectures in his credit. These lectures were recorded, teleccasted and broadcasted by the National Institute of Open Schooling for its Diploma in Elementary Education Programme. He has delivered several lecture on different aspects of education and research at different platforms. He acted as Master Trainer for the training of the resource persons, who will train the untrained teachers of the primary level on behalf of NIOS. He is not only the teacher educator but also a very good translator. He has translated 7 chapters of the study material developed for the B.Ed. Program of IGNOU. He is also associated as a translator with an electronic media NTD India TV. He also worked as an announcer in All India Radio, Varanasi. He is a great scholar who is contributing in the field of education through his milestone works. He got Research excellence award 2020 of Institute of Scholars for his research paper entitled “Development and Validation of Rationality Test”.
